Anthropic says a tampered Claude Code add-on in Cursor's store wasn't built by Anthropic

Anthropic's Felix Rieseberg says a malicious actor used access to the marketplace of Cursor, a code editor, to publish a tampered copy of the Claude Code extension. Anthropic says it did not build or publish that copy. It says this was not a break-in to Anthropic's systems or employees' laptops, and that it is working with Cursor on the incident.

Do anything? If you installed Claude Code inside Cursor recently, check that it came from Anthropic's official channels.
